In December of 2007, band frontman Rising Sun released his sophomore project Gunpoet, a record made in close collaboration with friend and producer J-san (J-san and the Analogue Sons). The record went on to win several local music awards, and served as a blueprint for the live rap band now taking the scene by storm. With J-san's live musical production providing a rock solid foundation, and an extraordinary group of players behind him, Rising Sun's larger vision has been brought to life. The Gunpoets are born! With an instant following in their hometown of Ithaca, New York, The Gunpoets are quickly generating a buzz throughout the Northeast.
